Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the

Trafficking Victims Protection Act

The Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) was passed in 2000 to hold traffickers criminally accountable, to protect victims, and to prevent victimization from occurring in the first place. Since then, the Office for Victims of Crime has become the largest federal funder of efforts to combat domestic human trafficking.

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the TVPA, we invite you to participate in an exciting art initiative--Represent Resilience: Learning from Yesterday, Building a Stronger Tomorrow.

This initiative is an opportunity to feature artwork from survivors, advocates, and anti-trafficking professionals that recognizes the great strides that have been taken since the act was passed; to envision efforts needed over the next 20 years to address human trafficking and its complexities; and to celebrate the continued resilience of trafficking survivors, reflect on the lessons learned collectively, and visualize the collaborative progression of the anti-trafficking field.
