National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NAMUS) AIAN Case Statistics

We are excited to announce that the monthly American Indian and Alaska Native missing, unidentified, and unclaimed person cases from the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) are available at https://www.namusinfo.org/mip. The NamUs Support for Missing Indigenous Person Cases webpage will be updated monthly, so we will no longer be sending out monthly emails.

Trend data of AI/AN MP cases that were published on the first of the month is provided below (for example, April 1st at 10 AM CDT). Please keep in mind that NamUs is an operational database. The data displayed below reflect a snapshot in time. These data do not show unpublished cases that have yet to be vetted by law enforcement for publication purposes, nor does it reflect the number of cases that have been resolved and archived since the last data collection draw. The NamUs database is not a historical database. Please keep these issues in mind when using them.
